LAKE OSWEGO, Oregon (February 15, 2011) - Noble Vision Group, a research and development organization today announced continued reports of favorable results for the topical dye formulation, Fluramene™, among leading eye care professionals. Having received previous praise for facilitating earlier and easier diagnosis of ocular surface diseases, Fluramene™ has recently been recognized for simplifying and expediting imaging of the ocular surface.
Dr. Larry E. Patterson, M.D. explained, “In addition to excellent conjunctival staining, it accentuates the area of most concern on the cornea as well. As far as photographs, we like it because we are able to administer a single drop, take a picture, switch illumination once, and you have the entire story of how each layer of the pre-corneal tear film (PCTF) is working in that particular patient.”
Fluramene™, the proprietary Fluorescein Sodium and Lissamine Green dye combination is a sterile solution packaged in a 15mL bottle with a control tip dropper. The benefits of both dyes have been studied comprehensively and are well reported as diagnostic tools used independent of each other.

The addition of Lissamine Green provides the clinician with a tool to simultaneously evaluate the conjunctiva and the cornea for ocular surface disorders, without requiring additional drops or dye strips.
